mousesports upset Luminosity

mousesports managed to defeat Luminosity 16-7 on Cache at DreamHack Masters Malmö and advanced to the playoffs.

The first winners' match in Malmö was between Luminosity and MOUZ. The Brazilians beat TYLOO in their opening match and Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač's team triumphed over Liquid.

MOUZ started on the CT-side as Denis "⁠denis⁠" Howell & Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget stopped an A-rush in the pistol round. After winning the anti-eco rounds, MOUZ could not prevent Luminosity from taking the fourth round but punched right back to go on a streak. The tables turned when MOUZ lead 7-1 as the Brazilian side got three rounds in a row.

NiKo put on a show 

They were set to take another one but MOUZ won a 3v5 with nex getting a triple-kill. Luminosity planted the bomb when nobody was dead in the 14th round but mouz had a successful retake. The half ended 11-4 in favor of MOUZ.

Luminosity won the much needed pistol round in the second half and only gave up one kill in the following two rounds. MOUZ, undaunted, managed to secure the first weapon round. The stellar T-side of MOUZ kept on delivering and they won the match 16-7.
